City of Angels · Jasmine Benjamin

About

City of Angels is Jasmine Benjamin's 160-page portrait of Los Angeles street style, photographing more than 120 subjects in their own clothes, in their own neighbourhoods.

The Book

City of Angels gathers more than 120 subjects, most of them L.A. natives, photographed by Jasmine Benjamin in their own clothes and in the neighbourhoods where they actually live and work. It runs to 160 pages.

The book deliberately looks past the Hollywood version of the city. Drawing on her years styling leading musicians, Benjamin sought out the people defining the new L.A. style, and many of them are not only style innovators but the artists, musicians and organisers building the culture around them.

Equal parts fashion document and cultural time capsule, it was named the 2026 Booktique Award for Best Lifestyle Book.
